Office makeup is useful in casting an excellent impression on your co-workers. In offices, a woman should keep her make-up light and subtle. To convey a professional look, it should look natural. Though it does not mean that you should look boring. But you should apply suitable makeup to look positive. Keep following tips in mind before you wear makeup for office.

(1) Before doing makeup for office, wash your face properly and use a toner to rub dust and leftovers. Now use moisturizer to keep your skin smooth and supple.

(2) In the bright lights of the office all the shades which otherwise look appealing in an evening gathering may not look good. You can include warm earthy shades in your office makeup.

(3) If you are blessed with a blemish-free skin, you can skip using foundation as it appears spotted in the fluorescent lights of the office. In its place, use a concealer to conceal spots and blend it correctly.

(4) For makeup of the cheeks, evade using pink shades as they seem out of place in the office. As an alternative, use brown and gold shades to look natural in the workplace lights. If you have a darker skin tone, go for maroon, brown and terracotta shades.

(5) Be cautious while selecting eye makeup as gloomy shades of eyeshadows may appear too flashy. Pick light colors of eyeshadows like gold, rose and peach. Evade colors like gray or blue as they may make you appear dull. For a natural look, use brown liquid eyeliner and mascara. You can also go for black liner and mascara.

(6) Use middle tones of lip colors like peach and brown. You can also use lip gloss in place of lipsticks. Shiny lip gloss or lipsticks does not look good in the workplace environment. Earthy shades should be avoided as they look muddy in bright lights.

(7) For a speedy touch up in the workplace, use compact powder on your face and merge it suitably.

(8) For eyes, use a kohl pencil and a liner on the upper lid of the eye. You can even smudge it to create a smoky effect. Use mascara to show your eyes bigger.

(9) Put light shades of blush on your cheeks, forehead and chin and a bit on the nose and merge it with your skin. Now just apply lipstick and you are all set to march to your office.
