1:- Apply it on the pulse points

There are certain pulse points on the body which are closest to the blood vessels. These spots ooze heat, which can help fragrance to emanate heat from your skin into the air. These are inner wrists, the base of the throat, in the cleavage, behind ear lobes, behind knees and the inner elbows. If you wear your perfume on these parts of your body, they will collide with your body heat and emit scent for a longer duration.

A word of caution: -Don’t crush the scent by rubbing the wrists together.

2:- Perfuming your hair

Steaming the fragrance with the hair will keeps the scent for a longer duration throughout the day. Those who come close to you will never miss being the part of the scent that you emit. But this cliché works only on the freshly-washed hair so that the oils or shampoos don’t affect the odor.

Precaution: -Since perfumes contain alcohol they can cause substantial harm to your hair strands. Apply sparingly from a distance.

3:- Re-apply the same perfume throughout the day

If you have dry skin and want to attend parties in the evening, carry a small bottle of perfume with you to reapply it when required. Generally perfumes last from 4 to 8 hours depending on their inherent strength.

4:- Don’t overdo

Too much application of the scent kills its motive of providing a calming effect.

5:- Tricks to make the fragrance last longer

1- A scent will last longer if it is applied on the skin when it has moisture. Dry skin aids the scent to fade faster.

2- For better scent, apply fragrance free moisturizer to your body. It will boost the strength of the fragrance used.

3- Another potent way is to apply petroleum jelly on your skin before applying fragrance on it. The perfume droplets cling to the petroleum jelly and don’t sink into the pores.

Using the shower gel/body wash, moisturizer, face wash, face cream, shampoo, oil etc. of the same brand of which you have your perfume enhances the effect in a terrific way.
